PIANO BUDDIES

Sing for Hope is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic community members like you to help watch over the Sing for Hope Pianos during their time on the streets and help to ensure that each instrument stays protected and able to move on to its permanent home once the public installation is over.

From June 5–24, you will work with a team of other Piano Buddies to protect a piano in your neighborhood.

Buddies are also welcome and encouraged to hold performances at their piano, involve the neighborhood, and make art accessible to everyone.

Volunteer

As a team, make sure a team member checks in with the piano at least twice a day.

1

Cover the piano in advance of inclement weather.

2

Report any issues to the Sing for Hope team.

3

“Overall, being a Piano Buddy was a great experience. It was awesome to see

people both young and old enjoying the piano and sharing in the joy of music.”

— Tim Bayus, Piano Buddy, Carl Schurz Park
