As people of color we have been targeted, abused, brainwashed, and the list goes on. Who do we look to to save us? We must look to one another. We have the power to empower one another and to keep knowledge alive of our value and worth alive. Colors used represent Africa "The Motherland". They blend together in value, from darkest at the bottom to lightest, at the top to represent optimism. The Marula Trees represent the community. The roots are connecting to the foundation of the design, representing cultural autonomy and pride.
