Sing for Hope’s Art U! program brings arts education to under-resourced students. Through a partner elementary school in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, Sing for Hope brings engaging, interactive performances to 50+ students, exposing them to a variety of artists and art forms on a weekly basis.

For Volunteer Artists:
Volunteer Artists are asked to perform a mini-concert showcasing their art form. Performance pieces should be age-appropriate and engage young audience members. After watching the performance, students will participate in a group activity inspired by the artist.

About Sing for Hope’s Art U! Program:
Sing for Hope’s Art U! program brings arts education to under-resourced students. Classes with resident Teaching Artists are complemented by visits with guest Volunteer Artists in an exploration of art’s power to transform lives and communities.

For Volunteer Artists:
This is an after-school choral program. You will be working alongside a Sing for Hope Teaching Artist in a class of 4th-6th graders. Volunteer Artists are asked to perform a brief, age-appropriate piece at the beginning of class and assist the Teaching Artist for the remainder of the lesson.
